SOPHIA HEPHEASTOU is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, where she concentrated her studies on bankruptcy and commercial law. Ms. Hepheastou received the Zaretsky Fellowship, which recognizes students with academic achievements and interests in commercial bankruptcy. During law school, she interned for the Honorable Sean H. Lane of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York .
Ms. Hepheastou has worked closely with unrepresented clients through the City Bar Justice Center bankruptcy project, helping low income individuals file Chapter 7 petitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hepheastou worked at an environmental law practice where she worked on matters related to groundwater contamination. Prior to law school she worked extensively in advertising at various companies including Cline Davis & Mann and Young & Rubicam. Her category experience spans multiple industries including pharmaceuticals, consumer packaged goods, media and entertainment.
Sophia is a board member of the New York chapter of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, traveling and going on long walks with her two rescue dogs.
