JAMIE IAN FREEDMAN
JAMIE IAN FREEDMAN focuses primarily on bankruptcy and restructuring, with a particular focus on reorganizations and distressed asset sales. Jamie has represented debtors through the chapter 11 process from contingency planning through the plan confirmation process, companies and creditor constituencies in out-of-court restructurings, as well as investor groups looking to purchase assets through the 363 auction and sale process. He has represented these parties across an array of industries including retail, consumer and industrial products, energy, real estate, and healthcare.
Prior to joining Griffin Hamersky, Jamie practiced law in the restructuring group in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and at a small boutique focused on commercial litigation.
In his free time, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family, regularly attending CrossFit (having learned to stop talking about it), and running the New York City Marathon every November.
